"Every house where love abides
And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest."

Tea anyone and everyone?

Put down your gardening tools! There is no time for work. It is time for tea!

First find a nice secluded table in the shade and look at the menu...

Place an order for two chicken salads and two cups of Earl Grey tea...

But Saskia also bought a cherry walnut muffin for us to share. And look who we shared it with! Can't you see him?

And now?

He flew away after eating the crumbs but muffin paper blew to the ground by my feet and the chickens came running (pardon my leg) ...

You are not allowed to feed the animals but could I help it that a few crumbs fell???

We even had a regal visit from this peacock...

Saskia says they peeked in her garden as she has a ladder with old tea kettles on it too...

This handsome fella joined us for tea. Rover sat with Saskia (now pardon Saskia's leg) and munched on our toast and grapes from our salad...

We visited the shop at the tea gardens but I will share my pretty new buys in my next post...

In the meantime, these little ones waved goodbye...

It was time for "Home, sweet home". What a fun afternoon!

It sure was a fun afternoon!! I enjoyed your company! Have to do it again sometime. Rover told me, he had a fun afternoon too, with all those strange creatures.

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe that bird came that close to you. It sounds like you two had a fun time together. I am very happy to hear you are okay today, LOL. Your next entry might show why I said that. I know you loved that chicken visiting you. The tea kettle ladder looked cute.
Love you, Mom

Hey Heidi, looks like you and Saskia had a terrific day!
Is this really in Eemnes? My uncle lives there so I go there quite regularly. I will make sure to take him to the Theetuin next time I'm there! (we always go to Laren to eat poffertjes :o)) )
Can't wait to see your new goodies!

What a lovely afternoon you two had. I loved the menu, the tea and the visitors you had. From the looks of things the animals had a fun time too. The ladder with the old teapots is great. Molly, my yellow lab is here with me and she is quite taken with Rover. Maybe he would like a pen pal?

What a fun spot for a tea party...I love all the little visitors.

When I saw your new header I thought how pretty. Then I read you found these precious minatures at a flea sale plus other pretties....lucky finds, you just never what you'll run across.

The Alcott challenge sounds interesting I'm going to check it out....hugs, Linda

Hi Heidi
Thanks for inviting me for a cup of tea. I have been so busy getting my real estate business going again that I haven't taken time for tea with friends like I used to.
Hugs, Rhondi

I went there last year when I was visiting from New Zealand. Wse had a lovely morning and I did a little shopping too. Very happy warm memories. Here it is cold and wet and winter, but there is always the promise of spring. To everything there is a season!
