And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest."

Make do and mend Mondays

Sorry to have been missing in action with my Make do and Mend Mondays. Even though it is Friday, I wanted to share one this week. My friend Tammy posted a Make do project using an empty wipes container to hold plastic bags. I told her about one I made out of fabric from my stash. It is a perfect project to make do with.

I had created a photo tutorial to these on my handwork blog at the time. Since people email me that they still look at this old blog, I did not delete it. You can go to this link and make a plastic bag holder for yourself. I know they are for sale everywhere but it is fun and easy to make plus making it to match your own room.

Hello Heidi
I have 2 of the bag holders and have made them for Jimmy and Nina too. They are an easy project.
I try to use cloth shopping bags but I still end up with plastic ones. I reuse them to line small waste baskets, hold veg. peels, etc.

That is amazing to me that we get our bell peppers from Holland. They were very good and I plan on getting another bag when we go back to Sams.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - the heat dome finally lifted here, it is normal summer weather and we've had some rain 4 days in a row! All us Okies are in much better moods.

I always said I was going to make one of these, but not yet. hahaha. I just put all my bags into a bag in the closet. Oh well, maybe someday.

I'll definitely be looking up that tutorial - I could use several holders.
