"Every house where love abides
And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest."

My Gypsy Heart.....

Wouldn't this be a fun way to take to the road and go camping out in the countryside? It just looks like pure romance...

The door is open and you can walk up the steps and take a peek...

Did I say camping? This is quite luxurious with chairs to pull up to the little woodstove and have a cup of tea with a real bone china tea set. If there is a woodstove then I am always in total contentment...

Wonder if he will be sitting outside the gypsy caravan waiting to serenade me?

I just love the music of Django Reinhardt which is often playing in my quilt studio. Why is it that all the great talent is from previous generations? Jos always says I was born in the wrong time. I think he is right.

Photos taken at the open air museum at Warffum.

What a fabulous caravan! I'd be quite happy living in there I think:) I've always liked the lovely old Romany caravans but oddly modern ones don't appeal to me at all.

Heidi - here in the states is a movement to living in small houses like this one. I wouldn't mind it at all except I would have to have an additional one for all my crafts!

Wow, the inside of that is pretty nice indeed. Even I could camp in
that and I am NOT a camper. George says my idea of camping is the Holiday Inn and he is right.
Love you, Mom

Love the caravan, but I am really interested in the music. I like more "eclectic" stuff and was wondering which Reinhardt recordings you like/recommend.

Thanks!!

I'd be very happy to camp in that sort of caravan!.....especially with a china tea cup and a wood stove.

I do not mind camping in a tent, but that caravan would certainly be so much better. No worries with a surprise rain shower.

Enjoy your weekend Heidi.

I do like the caravan, it looks so cosy inside. I'm trying to talk John into us buying a caravan or campervan but he's not budging so I'll have to dream on. P

If someone made me go camping, I would hope to have something that sweet to stay in. However, if "he" was playing music around the campfire, I'd sleep on the cold hard ground to be there! :o)

Oh you really got to me this time Heidi. "Chocolat" is one of my favorite movies...Johnny Depp in that movie is to die for. I'd be sailing away with him on that boat in no time at all LOL!!

A little trip in a caravan sounds like fun to me. You should check out the website www.sistersonthefly.com - a bunch of women in the U.S. who have tiny vintage RV's - and they do camping trips together. I saw several at an exhibition here and they were so cute. I hope you are feeling better Heidi since your attack.

Love the caravan and love Johnny Depp in Chocolat. My daughter and I always watch Chocolat just before Easter and have a sample of some excellent chocolates on hand which we start eating as we start seeing pictures of thick chocolate being stirred.

I'm not big on camping, as in camping in tents, but this little caravan thing I could do!
