Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest."

Sunday sip.....

A well deserved break and sip this Sunday...

We love Clairette de Die. We would much prefer it to champagne. This sparkling white wine is not allowed to be called champagne as it is from the Rhone Valley region of France. It has a full and fruity flavor which Jos thought would compliment the Chinese noodles dish I was making for dinner.

On top of being the perfect match to the dish, we decided it would be nice to round off the weekend. Jos has just had a very busy few weeks at work. He has been working extremely long days. In fact, the last text message came in for him at 11:57pm on Friday night. That rounded up the proposal he was working on and now it is time for him to wait. Hopefully he will have a more relaxed time for a couple of weeks as he awaits word on the project going to the next step.

I rounded off our meal with a favorite treat...

My homemade hot fudge on vanilla ice cream topped with a scattering of peanuts. And now I am off to sit with my feet up and a cup of tea in hand while I watch a favorite show on German television about outdoor life called LandlustTV.

What are you sipping this Sunday?

This sounds delicious. I've never been that crazy about Champagne, much prefer a sparkling wine that's not too dry. I rarely drink anymore, but like the occasional glass of wine. It's still morning so I'm still drinking my morning tea, apricot.

Your meal looks very tasty, especially the dessert. I'm not normally an ice cream fan but that looks delicious. I'm currently sipping a Pinot Grigio.

I had a sundae too, went to lunch at Friendlys and had a hot fudge with a new triple berry ice cream. Yummy.
Glad you enjoyed a nice dinner and wine. Good luck Jos.

Your dinner looks delicious-esecially the Chinese noodles! We don't drink much but your description of the wine sounds like something I'd select.

Poor Jos! That time of night is not the time to be working or even thinking about work. I hope things calm down for him and the rest of the year goes very well.

We like to have an occasional bottle of Clairette also, it is a very nice light 'fizzy' wine.
Glad you had such a pleasant evening.

The sundae is what attracted me and I wouldn't mind having one like your mother had, too.
