My collection of Tasha books are a reflection of her lifestyle of simplicity. She reminds me to stay close to the seasons and celebrate what they bring.
I find it somehow fitting that she was born on this day back in 1915. She was born in a time when two seasons begin to merge. Summer's bounty is giving over to autumn's richness and harvest. This weekend I bought a little pumpkin to turn into a delicious soup while I also bought a bouquet of sunflowers which remind us of the sunshine of summer.
I am joining the Tasha Tudor Day celebrations with Clarice over at StorybookWoods. She posted a beautiful entry about Tasha glam which prompted me to think about many items of clothing I wear that are also Tasha glam inspired. Last summer, I learned to crochet and one of the items I made were a pair of wristies. To me, they are pure Tasha!

Happy Tasha Tudor Day! Love your Tasha glam! These are very pretty. I'm hoping to get up the nerve to knit a Tasha shawl. I always loved her clothes and accessories!~

Suzanne
Thanks for the Tasha Tudor reminder. She was and still is a fascinating woman.
Hi Heidi, ik ken haar nog maar enkele jaren, maar ik heb intussen een paar boeken waar ik met veel plezier in kijk.
Groetjes
I've been a big Tasha Tudor fan for years - have a nice collection of her old books. Thanks for the reminder about Tasha Tudor Day.

Well, any childrens books are your kind of books. I know you always liked her and had me make you a shawl in her style. Dagi hated it, (sheep wool) but now you probably can't wear it anyway. Still love the little wristlets you made.
Love you, Mom
Now, stop getting all these things that hardly anyone has. Leave some of the problems for other people, you have quite enough.
Oh I love Tasha Tudor! Sunday night I stole a few quiet moments to page through The Private World of Tasha Tudor. I hope to read a few of her books with my kiddos this week in celebration of her gift. Love the gloves...
Hello friend! Did you know I actually happened upon her museum while I was passing through Vermont a couple of months back? Joe was driving and I looked over and saw the sign. I hollered at him to pull over and nearly scared him too death! LOL
