"Every house where love abides
And friendship is a guest,
Is surely home, and home sweet home
For there the heart can rest."

Spring begins.....

Spring is arriving and nature is bursting out ready for another year of color and splendor. Everywhere in Holland, the bulbs are either in bloom or growing forth. What a pretty time of year...

My white grape hyacinths in a vintage olive pot...

"The year's at the spring
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hillside's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His heaven -
All's right with the world!"

~ Robert Browning

Heidi, I've never seen white grape hyacinths, I only have blue. They are so pretty!

We have blue grape hyacinths in our garden, just coming into flower now...in fact, I really noticed them for the first time today.
Those white ones are spectacular!

Your hyacinths are beautiful! I've never heard of an "olive pot." I probably do not need to know anything about it, because my maiden name is Olive, and I am sure I would croak for one! LOL! Have a great spring, Heidi!

Happy Spring Heidi!

How pretty the white grape hyacinths is...this is a new plant to me, I'll have to look for it here. I love tulips...I have only seen pictures of all the beautiful fields of tulips in Holland...it would be wonderful to see them in person....pictures are nice but in person would be wonderful. Hope you are have sunny days, we are have lots and lots of rain here...hugs, Linda

I don't think I've ever seen white grape hyacinths. They look great in the olive pot. Hope you had a wonderful weekend of indoor and outdoor gardening!

Neat plant. Does it smell good like the big ones?????
Today is like spring here, temps in the 60s, but tomorrow and the rest of the week it is turning colder again.
Spring, where is it. Zoe said the groundhog said it is coming early this year. Okay Zoe, find that groundhog.

One of my favourite poets summing up the onset of the new year perfectly. I love your pretty white grape hyacinths. I've never seen white ones before.
