Well, yes it was a sunny day outside, but I have the sunshine inside. I rarely go to the thrift shop. I never find things like others do so just never take the time anymore to go. But last Saturday, Jos asked if I would like to pop into the thrift shop to look on the way to the grocery store. Little did we know but they were have a brocante market that day. I found two things. I will share the second one later but how is this for sunshine?
There was a woman bringing items out on a trolley and I saw her pick up this gold sun mirror. I followed her to where she put it down thinking it was going to be very overpriced. To my surprise, it was only 2,25 euro so I grabbed it up. I knew it would look so nice if it was black. We brought it home and got out the spray paint and...
...a new mirror for the bedroom.

Dear Heidi! How lucky of you to fins such a sunny, pretty mirror for your bedroom. And at such a bargain price too!
It has been a while since I visited you and your lovely blog. This winter has not been of the best for me health wise, unfortunately, but now that spring is here things are once again looking up. I do hope you are well and are enjoying lovely days at your beloved Cranberry Cottage.
Well, didn't you just find a little treasure! You told me about it, but I didn't have it pictured just like this. Very nice.
Love Mom
Great way to shop for jewels.
It's been a long time for me too, that I browsed through places like that.
Back to the cottage this weekend?

Love the sunshine mirror Heidi and it looks great painted black and hanging on the wall.
Love finding little deals like that! You found a good one that looks great on the bathroom wall!
You are right - it looks great black. It's always exciting to find a new decoration for one's home!
What a great find, Heidi, and it's wonderful what you made with it and how you use it.
That mirror is lovely, Heidi--I love the sun-burst effect! Must say I really like your new banner. And would you know, that Henry Van Dyke quote is one of my favorites. It was the very first thing I share on my very first blog post nearly 4 years ago. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))
Hey,
I nominated you for a sunshine blog award winner. See my blog and get your reward!

What a great find! I love finding little treasures like that so unexpectedly. :) It looks very nice hanging in your room above the quilt. Heidi, I just love the picture you have posted of the windmill. It really made me smile! Someday I will see Holland for myself, but until then thank you for sharing bits and pieces!
Hugs!

We have spent the weekend at the cottage, preparing for Easter. All the clothes and stuff.....so when we travel up there on Friday - it only remins food! - nice! I am so fed up discussing why we always have to bring so much stuff in the car - so now it will be almost nothing! (HA.HA....)well, we`ll see...
Still much snow here - but green parts on the ground...! -
Have a nice day!

How pretty. I love re-making something old into something new!!
So many thrift stores fancy them selves so upscale that it's not fun to shop in them anymore. You found a gem and made it your own. That's the best fun of all.
